Project Developer

 

EV Edison is seeking business development officers to originate and develop commercial and industrial EV charging projects, including mobile storage and EV charging. The candidate will be able to contribute to the origination, development, design, permitting and commercial off-take agreements of large-scale EV charging and battery energy storage projects.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the company’s growing portfolio of EV charging and energy storage projects

​​

  • Originate and develop new business opportunities for utility scale, commercial and industrial EV charging and infrastructure projects, preferably in the North-East markets.

​

  • Structure and manage development from origination through financial close.

  • Prepare, negotiate and close commercial agreements including development agreements, real estate agreements, services agreements, interconnection agreements and off-take agreements.

​​

  • Manage internal and external resources (finance, engineering, business development, legal etc.) to successfully develop projects. 

​​

  • Participate in special projects as needed.

Who You are

  • Bachelor or higher in Engineering, Business, Environmental Science or a related field.

​​

  • 5+ years professional experience in the energy industry.

​​

  • Experience in developing utility scale infrastructure projects in the energy sector, preferably in the solar, wind and/or energy storage industries.

​​

  • Knowledge of energy technologies including solar and battery energy storage.

​​

  • Experience with the engineering, procurement and construction of electric power projects.

​​

  • Project finance experience.

  • Experience in the siting, permitting and interconnecting electric power projects. 

​

  • Demonstrated leadership ability overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.

​

  • Excellent project management skills.

​

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to build relationships with supply chain and customers including senior leadership.

​

  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)

​​

  • Ability to work in an entrepreneurial organization
